1. Excellent wear resistance: The wear resistance of polyurethane elastomer is relatively outstanding, which is about 3-5 times that of general natural rubber, so it has a very important use in occasions with severe wear;

 

2. Wide range of hardness: The adjustable range of the hardness of polyurethane elastomers can be as low as Shore A 0 and as high as Shore D85. It extends from the hardness of rubber to the hardness range of plastics. What is more valuable is that the polyurethane elastomer has a high hardness. Under the condition of hardness, it still has good rubber elasticity and elongation;

 

3. High strength: under the hardness of rubber, the tensile strength and tear strength of polyurethane elastomer are much higher than those of general-purpose rubber; under the hardness of plastic, its impact strength and bending energy are much higher than those of plastic;

 

4. Oil resistance: The oil resistance of polyester polyurethane elastomer is not lower than that of nitrile rubber, which is equivalent to polysulfide rubber;

 

5. High bearing capacity: Since the polyurethane elastomer can improve the hardness while maintaining the elasticity of the rubber, it achieves a high bearing capacity, which is incompatible with other rubbers;

 

6. Good vibration absorption performance: Polyurethane elastomer shows obvious hysteresis to large deformation. During this process, part of the energy of external force is consumed in the interior of polyurethane elastomer and converted into heat energy. Therefore, polyurethane elastomers have obvious vibration absorption properties, which can also be called damping properties.

 

7. Low temperature resistance: Polyurethane elastomer has good low temperature performance, and the brittle containment is generally low (-50℃-70℃), and the catalytic temperature of some formula varieties is lower than -70℃, so polyurethane elastomer products are especially suitable in cold environments;

 

8. Radiation resistance and ozone resistance: Among polymer materials, polyurethane has outstanding radiation resistance and ozone resistance;

 

9. Antifungal performance: Polyether polyurethane has good antifungal performance. It used to be grade 0-1, and basically no mold grows.

 

10. Biomedical properties: Polyurethane materials have good biocompatibility. Acute and chronic toxicological tests and animal tests have confirmed that medical polyurethane materials are non-toxic, non-distorting, and have no adverse side effects such as allergic reactions.
